Rider of "Red" ("赤"のライダー, "Aka" no Raidā) is the Rider-class Servant of Cabik Pentel and thus a Servant of the Red Faction in the Great Holy Grail War of Fate/Apocrypha. Shirou Kotomine assumes command over him before he even meets his original Master, and through his machinations, Shirou later officially becomes Rider's Master.

The Great Holy Grail War conflict takes place within Fate/Apocrypha, one of the many conflict stories composing the Fate series that play out within the Nasuverse, a shared setting of a number of TYPE-MOON works.

Rider is also one of the many Servants able to be summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.

Rider's True Name is Achilles (アキレウス, Akireusu), one of the famous heroes in the Trojan Wars. One of the most prominent heroes in Greek mythology. he swept through his life like a gale, shining with a brilliance befitting the title of a hero. It's said that when asked by his Mother whether he'd like to live a normal and peaceful life or die like a hero, he chose the latter without hesitation. According to the legends, Achilles possessed an invulnerable body in addition to his unrivaled martial prowess. His only weak point was his heel, the one part of him that wasn’t immortal, hence the progenitor of our “Achilles heel” term.
